Schools in Chicago's Northwest and North Suburbs
Judy, are the schools good in the Northwest Suburbs of
Chicago?
Yes!! I have compiled a comprehensive page that will answer
this question based on statistical data.
Whether you have
children or not, buying a home in a community with good schools is
important. It not only adds value to your property, but also is an
attractive feature when and if you decide to sell. There are plenty
of resources available to get information about schools within the
communities you are considering. Various Internet sites offer
school reports and profiles. They provide statistical data such as
graduation rates, college-bound percentages, and standardized test
scores. In addition to these reports, many schools have their
own websites you can peruse. And of course you can always talk to
people in the area or take a tour of the school.
I hope the following information will help guide you on your
quest to answer the various questions you will have about the local
area schools, their results via test scores, their class sizes
and enrollments, individual school web pages, school
activities and general information about the schools.
Our local schools are some of the finest in the country. I am proud
to say my children attend the local schools. People are
drawn to our area from all over because of the excellence of our
schools. The local schools consistently do extremely on
national and local tests and have the support of the
community. There is a wide range of extracurricular activities
available to the students. I will be glad to set up a tour or point
you in the right direction to get your school questions answered.
You can find links to all the local schools further down
the page.

One of the most common requests I receive from my
clients is for information to compare schools. The best place to
start is probably the mandatory Illinois school report cards which
compare all schools on a number of variables. I have also included
links to the Illinois High School Association and the Illinois
Elementary School association which cover extracurricular
competitions including sports and other competitive activities.
